The Player Assistance Grant was created to provide financial support to current or new players looking to play the game of hockey who may not otherwise have the opportunity to do so because of financial hardship.

 

Hyundai Hockey Helpers: https://hyundaihockey.ca/  Hyundai Hockey Helpers provides grants so deserving kids can play organized hockey through a partnership with KidSport™.

 

Sport Central: https://www.sportcentral.org/  provides children in need access to necessary sport equipment.  Sport Central gathers, recycles and redistributes equipment.

 

Jumpstart Canadian Tire: https://jumpstart.canadiantire.ca/en   Kids aged 4 to 18 from families in financial need can receive funding to help with registration fees, equipment and/or transportation.

 

Canadian Children’s Fitness Tax credit: https://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/fitness/  You can claim to a maximum of $1,000 per child the fees paid in a tax year relating to the cost of registration or membership for your child’s sports participation.

 

Chevrolet Safe and Fun Hockey: https://www.safeandfunhockey.ca/en/helmet  Provides a free Bauer hockey helmet to 5 year olds.
