Bingo Job Description
PARKWAY VILLAGE BINGO VOUNTEER JOB DESCRIPTION
BONANZA FLOOR SELLERS:
- You will be on the floor selling tickets that are $1.00 each to the customers on the floor.
- You are also required to check/call back bingos.
- You are also there to assist patrons in collecting their prize money and help to ensure the bingo event runs efficiently.
NEVADA FLOOR SELLERS:
- This is a fast paced position selling pull tab tickets for $1.00 each to the customers on the floor.
- You will be on the floor selling tickets that are $1.00 each to the customers on the floor.
- You are also required to check/call back bingos.
- You are also there to assist patrons in collecting their prize money and help ensure the bingo even runs efficiently.
EVEN BETTOR FLOOR SELLERS:
- You will be on the floor selling tickets that are $2.00 each to the customers on the floor.
- You are also required to check/call back bingos.
- You are also there to assist patrons in collecting their prize money and help to ensure the bingo event runs efficiently.
As a seller you will receive a float at the start of your shift. Please ensure you always verify the float. Never leave your card or money unattended. Return all cash and tickets to the controller when requested to do so. Aprons must be turned in at the end of shift and while you are on the floor you must wear a name tag.
If any customer complains or has a issue please see the Chairperson or the Floor Manager.
CART SELLER:
- You will be required to sit at the part cart trolley
- You are required to check customers receipts and very what sheets the bought and give them the bingo cards.
- Once the selling of cards is done you are required to walk the floor and assist the floor sellers with checking/call back bingos.
PAYMASTER:
- You are required to sell early bird tickets in the office and then during bingo calling sit up front with the caller and pay out winning amount to the customers.
BONANAZA CONTROLLER:
- Work in the office ensuring the sellers have tickets and change.
- Balance tickets sales at the end of each selling cycle.
NEVADA CONTROLLER:
- Work in the office ensuring the sellers have tickets and change.
- Balance tickets sales at the end of each selling cycle.
A break will be assigned to you by the Chairperson. There will be a sign up sheet. You are entitled to a 30 minute sit down break during your shift. North SEERA pays for your supper up to the amount of $16.00. When working the late night shift you are also entitled to a $6.00 snack. It is very important that you stick within the budget as these amounts are set by Alberta Liquor and Gaming.
Please ensure you arrive early for shift. Dress comfortably in good walking shoes.
Attitude is very important, not just for your own group’s success, but for the overall long term success of the Association. Be friendly, cooperative and helpful to other workers and the customers.
When you are on the floor either selling or doing call backs please ensure you are always moving. You should not be sitting at tables, ends of tables or with customers. You should not eat or drink on the floor, please leave that in the back room. Please do not use your cell phone while on the floor. This means no calls or texting. Please ensure the ringer is shut off and if needed you may have it on vibrate. If you do need to take a call please do so in the back volunteer room.
