Grouping & Player Movement

Our evaluation process is designed to ensure players are placed in the most appropriate group for their development and enjoyment. Player placements are determined based on performance in the Skills and Game Play Evaluations, with opportunities for movement as needed.

Initial Group Placement

  • After the Skills Evaluation Skates, players will be placed into one of three groups based on their evaluation scores.
  • These groups are used for the Game Play Evaluations to assess how players perform in a team setting.

Movement Between Groups

  • Player movement between groups is possible throughout the Game Play Evaluations.
  • If a player demonstrates stronger skills or game play ability than their initial placement suggests, they may be moved up.
  • Likewise, if a player is struggling to keep up with their group, they may be moved down to ensure proper development.
  • Movement decisions are made based on input from Sports Evaluations and North SEERA's evaluation team.

By the end of evaluations, each player will be placed in a group that best aligns with their skills, giving them the best opportunity to develop and succeed throughout the season.
