U13 Program Overview
U13 Overview
U13 continues to build on earlier age divisions with tiered team formation and full-ice gameplay. Players in this division range from beginners to experienced skaters and participate in city-wide league play through Hockey Edmonton.
What to Expect
- Open to players regardless of prior hockey experience
- Teams are formed through evaluations held in September (4+ skates)
- Tiering places players with similar skill levels and ensures balanced competition
- Games and practices may take place on any day of the week
- Practice and game locations vary across the city and suburbs
- Games include referees, scores, and standings
- Goalies are evaluated and assigned where numbers allow
- Skill development is tailored to the team’s tier and ability level
U13 AA Pathway (Club-Level Hockey)
