We were able to award Jason in person last night. His unwavering dedication to his team and his values of teamwork, sportsmanship and inclusion were just some of the reasons he was selected as our U9 coach of the year. Congratulations Jason, no one deserves it more!

Without volunteers we wouldn’t be able to provide such incredible experiences for our athletes. Erica Dunn went above and beyond to create memorable & meaningful events for her team including giving back to those in need, connecting with adults with disabilities and honouring a Mom who was lost too soon. She is inspiring and an incredible woman in our hockey family.

Today NS401 took the ice to honour the bright and beautiful life of Jill Tomkins, or “Jilly Bean.”
Jill was a devoted mom to Nels (#7), wife to Mitch, an incredible nurse, a born and raised Sherwood Park resident, and a force of warmth, wit, and compassion.
She loved the Oilers, butter chicken, loud music, “Jillaritas,” and her people fiercely.
This game was bigger than hockey. It was community in its purest form.
A heartfelt thank you to Sherwood Park 402 coaches, players, parents and supporters, for sharing your ice, your arena, and your hearts with us. We are deeply grateful for the privilege of celebrating Jill together and for your generous memorial donations made in her honour.

U11 vs U13 Nightmare After Christmas game. The U11 team had a solid win but it was a great effort by everyone involved! The fans enjoyed every second! Thanks to all of the coaches who came out to play!

NS401 had their Christmas party last weekend. The theme was giving back to the community.
The kids had to purchase a gift from Walmart to donate to Santa’s Anonymous, then bowling with adults from the Robin Hood Association (adults with disabilities), then writing out heartfelt cards to each of their coaches and finally pizza party with gym hockey!
Way to go NS401! Thank you for showing your community spirit!

Recently NS503 was out making a difference in the world. They volunteered with the @giveashirt Society and packed children’s clothing to send to orphanages in Laos. Well done team, we are incredibly proud of you!
A few nights ago at the Oilers home opener 3 North SEERA kids got the opportunity to be in an intermission shootout! The boys all attended an Oiler’s hockey camp over the summer and won a draw to participate.

Thank you to all of our NSH Families who came out to participate in NORTH SEERA DAY! We had hot dogs and chip, shinny for U9, U11 & U13. There were draws for swag and Merchandise to try on and to top off the whole event @chapmansicecream donated delicious ice cream sandwiches for everyone to enjoy! What a great day!!

The last power skating winter sessions were on Thursday night. @comp_thread did a great job again, it’s awesome to see all of the improvements from the start of the year!
NS404 faced a some of adversity this weekend. They were peppered with lots of shots and faced some challenging teams. These are the character building weekends. Great effort team, you’ll get ‘em next time!
14 of our TimBits U7 senior players, got the opportunity to play in the intermission of the @edmoilkings game on Wednesday night. The kids had a great time and looked fantastic on the ice! We are so proud of them!
