U7 Discovery
This program is for brand new skaters who are just learning to skate while wearing full hockey equipment. Throughout the season, basic hockey skills will be introduced in a fun and supportive environment.
Sessions occur once per weekend, each lasting 60 minutes. Instruction follows the ProSmart Hockey Learning System, which is based on Hockey Canada's Initiation Program curriculum.
Program Highlights
- Ideal for 4-year-olds (as of December 31)
- Designed for brand new skaters learning to skate
- Uses development drills from Phase 1 of Hockey Canada's Initiation Program
- Non-competitive activities focused on fun and skill development
- Includes Hockey Canada Membership and Insurance coverage
- Instruction by certified lead instructors (1:10 ratio)
- Includes Timbits uniforms, medals, and gifts
- Groups formed with approximately 10–12 players
- All sessions on prime-time weekend ice
- 1-hour shared-ice development sessions using rotational teaching stations
